Iowa defeats Old Dominion 4-1 to advance to 3-0 on the season. Iowa was led offensively by Lorenzo Elion (2 for 5), Kyle Crowl (2 for 5), Matt Hoeg (2 for 3 1 RBI), and Mitch Boe (1 for 4 2 RBIs).
Pitcher Brady Schanuel earned the win in his first start pitching 3 2/3 shutout innings with 2 hits allowed and 4 strikeouts. The pen was solid, with Trenton Wallace allowing 1 run in 1 2/3 innings in his debut. Grant Leonard pitched 1 1/3 shutout innings, Cam Baumann got one out in his debut, and Zach Daniels earned a save for pitching 2 shutout innings.
Iowa is back in action next Friday against Virginia Tech.
