Iowa City, Iowa – Hawkeye basketball player Tyler Cook will be making one of the biggest decisions of his life in the next couple of days. The sophomore power forward is in the process of trying to decide whether to keep his name in the NBA draft or return to lead the Hawkeye basketball team in what would be his junior season.

We know that Cook has met with and worked out for at least 6 NBA teams including the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Denver Nuggets. It sounds as if he’s still trying to get a workout in with the Houston Rockets on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week prior to making a final decision. For more information on Cook’s NBA draft process including some comments from his Mom, Stephanie Cook, check out a great article by Rob Howe at Hawkeye Nation right HERE.

The intention of this article isn’t to try and project whether Cook takes his talents to the professional level or remains at Iowa for another year. Honestly, we haven’t heard from a single person who has that kind of information yet because Tyler and his family are still trying to solidify that decision. What we do know is that Tyler and his family will make the decision that is best for him, and Hawkeye fans will support whatever decision that is.

Now, the real point of this article is to celebrate some of the spectacular plays that Tyler made as a Hawkeye. Whether he takes off to the NBA or not, Hawkeye fans will never forget his playmaking ability and ferocious dunks.

Thanks for the show Tyler! Encore!
