Iowa City, IA – Megan Gustafson has been named Media B1G Player of the Year. This comes hours after being named B1G Player of the Week for a record 9th time this season.
The stats Megan put up this year are litterally off the charts. She ranks in the top-5 in eight statistical categories in the United States, including the leading scorer. Megan posted 25.3 ppg, 12.3 rpg, all on 67% FG shooting. She is 1 of 2 D1 players in the last 10 years to average at least 24 PPG and 12 RPG in a season.
Will National Player of the Year be next? It’s certainly a possibility.
