Interview with Austin Blythe – Hawkeye Heaven Podcast #14

Story by Derek Pech

Des Moines, Iowa – The 14th episode of the Hawkeye Heaven podcast has arrived. This time we welcomed the pride of Williamsburg, Iowa and former Hawkeye offensive lineman Austin Blythe.

Trent and I kick off the podcast with a discussion about Hawkeye basketball players Tyler Cook and Isaiah Moss both choosing to return to Iowa City next year. We share our opinions on what their return means to the program, and how we believe Iowa hoops will perform this coming season.

Then Trent and I welcome in Austin Blythe for an interview. Blythe starts out by discussing what life is like as a member of Los Angeles Rams, and then shares his takeaways from his time in Iowa City. He also takes a few moments to discuss a new hunting venture that he and his family have recently become involved in called Legacy Acres Hunting Club in Parnell, Iowa (formerly known as Safari-Iowa, which you will see on their website). If you are a hunter you have to check out everything they have to offer and share some support for a great Hawkeye. Their land combined with a variety of guided hunting options is truly incredible. Trent and I wrap up the podcast by discussing a few Hawkeye football updates including a few kickoff times that have been announced as well as several lines that have been released.

Finally, we end the podcast by sharing an exciting update from our team here at Hawkeye Heaven – we’re excited to announce that we will be opening up a store and releasing our first custom t-shirt within the next week! The primary theme of our apparel will be to merge our two favorite past times… Hawkeye and Iowa pride combined with a bit of a patriotic/military flare. Keep an eye out for our first shirt next week!

Enjoy episode #14 Hawk fans!

We’d like to end with a huge thank you to Austin Blythe for joining us on this episode! Good luck this year with the Rams and with Legacy Acres!
