Des Moines, IA – Episode #26 of the Hawkeye Heaven podcast has arrived and we are officially one week away from Hawkeye football! That means it’s officially prediction time for Trent and Derek. We’re bringing you some predictions, some over unders, and of course another awesome guest. This week we were honored to welcome in former Hawkeye and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer offensive lineman Adam Gettis.

Trent and I kick off the podcast by discussing news out out of camp as well as the Big Ten Networks visit to the Iowa football practice a few days ago. If I remember correctly, we give our thoughts on players that are emerging at every single position.

Then we welcome in Adam Gettis for another excellent interview. Gettis is enjoying life as an NFL football player in sunny, but HOT, Tampa, Florida. He’s another in a long line of Hawkeye offensive lineman who have managed to carve out a nice career in the NFL. Gettis reflects on his days at Iowa, he discusses what the Hawkeye program has meant to him, he shares his thoughts on the current Hawkeye team and his current Buccaneers team, and finally he explains how significant it is to be known as a Hawkeye in the NFL.

Finally, Trent and I wrap up the podcast by sharing our predictions for the 2018 Iowa football team. Don’t miss it Hawk fans. One of us is going to end up with bragging rights. Or, we’ll both end up looking really stupid. The ladder is probably a more likely scenario, but tune in so you can hear what we expect from the Hawkeyes this season!

As always, Go Hawks!
