Iowa City, IA – The Iowa women’s basketball team suffered a tough home loss on Saturday afternoon to the hands of the Purdue Boilermakers (70-76).
Megan Gustafason scored her 17th double-double of the 2017-18 season (37 points and 14 rebounds). Kathleen Doyle contributed 10 assists to the Hawkeyes.
The Hawkeyes played from behind most of the game and shot poorly from behind the arc (18.8%). While the Boilermakers shot 52% (3PT).
Every time the Hawks went on a run or battled back to tie, Purdue had an answer. Turnovers played a big part in the loss, as the Hawks turned the ball over 16 times.
Andreona Keys led the Boilermakers with 34 points and shot 80% from behind the arc.
